Docker’s Sales Analyst will help turn information into actions by determining sales potential and ways to enhance sales performance through data. This role is a key to our bias for considered action and will prepare weekly/monthly reports on sales activity, maintain pipeline and results dashboards, and partner with marketing to report on campaign efficacy. The sales analyst will help Docker better understand business performances, customer trends, and market developments as well as interpret available data in modeling territory assignments, market penetration, and other indicators of sales performance and growth opportunities. The right person for this role will have an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to thrive in fast-paced environments where things are not fully defined. Successful candidates will be comfortable working both as an individual contributor and as a member of a team. This role reports to the Data Engineer on the Business Systems and Revenue Enablement team.
Responsibilities:
- Build, generate, and analyze reports using Salesforce and Looker
- Optimize Sales techstack usage based on current and anticipated business needs
- Collaborate with other functions across the company to build customized reports and dashboards with useful analysis and data insights
- Explain trends across data sources, potential opportunities for growth or improvement, and data caveats for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive (including forecasting), and prescriptive data analysis
- Expand our database with clean data (ready for analysis) by implementing data quality tests while continuously reviewing, optimizing, and refactoring existing data models
- Contribute to and implement data warehouse and data modeling best practices, keeping reliability, performance, scalability, security, automation, and version control in mind
- Understand and document the full lifecycle of data and our common data framework so that data can be integrated, modeled for easy analysis, and analyzed for insights
- 2+ years reporting experience in the Salesforce ecosystem
- Deep understanding of how data is created and transformed through products and services provided by third-parties to help drive product designs or service usage or note impacts to data reporting capabilities
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, SQL and query optimization techniques, and demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent performance problems
- Hands on experience working with SQL, Python, API calls, and JSON
- Experience with and/or interest in learning about a variety of data sources and tools, including but not limited to CRM, ERP, iPaaS, 3PL
- Familiarity with key data-analysis methods and techniques (e.g., text analytics, data visualization, data mining, and more)
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of Customer 360 views
- Demonstrate capacity to clearly and concisely communicate complex business logic, technical requirements, and design recommendations through iterative solutions
- A love of open source
- Experience with SaaS products

- Begin iterative processes to report on and glean insights from sales performance, such as ICP analysis, pipeline velocity, and cross-functional sales/product/marketing initiatives
- Understand, modify, and build new territory models and assignments with an eye for quota, capacity, and achievement
- Own and maintain key dashboards/reports
- Develops an in-depth understanding of Docker’s internal sales motions, systems, strategies and challenges by being deeply embedded within the sales team through regular and open collaboration
- Establish a solid foundational self-serve reporting layer along with corresponding documentation, learning and training sessions to minimize time spent working in ad-hoc requests
- Adherence to Systems SLAs in providing robust analytics and curated insights clearly delivered to the right people in the right ways
- Understand, follow, and contribute to bi-directional service level agreements with ancillary teams to maximize uptime and internal/external customer satisfaction
- Ensure reporting and analytics comply with with data governance policies
- Proactively identifies hidden opportunities for improvement within existing processes and suggests data-oriented solutions for their remediation

EU Salary Range
36,000 EUR – 75,000 EUR (salary range can change if hired in at a different level)
