Position overview
The Senior Financial Analyst Global Consumer SC will provide critical financial leadership and analysis to the region Global Quality, Global Value Chain (MS&T and Make), Global Home Office and Global SMP leaders and their leadership teams, supporting over $100 MM of spend. The candidate will work with business partners to challenge assumptions, build models, review financial outputs with management, and influence decision making aligned with the Global Quality strategic vision. The position will be crucial in idea generation and shaping cost improvement initiatives across the Global as a region. In the role the professional will perform ad hoc financial analysis of costs, support long-range financial planning, quarterly reporting and collaborate with plant finance regarding functions to align to their strategies.
Working with the Global Quality, Value Chain, Home Office and SMP leadership teams, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in developing the annual Business Plan and completing necessary forecast updates (JU,NU, etc.) with business partners ensuring the reliability of the information and its timely submission, contribute to the setting and implementation of the general strategy and master plan, analyze and communicate actual performance drivers and metrics as well as provide financial support to business cases to enable decision making with focus on value creation.
This role will also support various business facing tasks that include but are not limited to providing key inputs on capital investment, support of any SOX/Compliance requirements, intercompany cross charges, equity clearance, ad hoc performance analysis, and explanation of region Global cost drivers.
Within QA/Value Chain/Home Office/SMP pillars, this role will identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial analytics, strengthen finance team capabilities and business partner support, Support region Global cost center BvA’s, region Global budget development.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Strategy and Decision Support: Provide financial support to business cases for investment decisions and cost savings opportunities and actively contribute to site strategy and master plan
• Performance analytics and reporting: Review and communicate performance drivers, metrics, risks and opportunities and associated action plans
• Planning and Forecasting: Work with business partners to challenge assumptions, build models, review financial outputs with management, and influence decision making
• Support continuous improvements for financial processes/analytics and other ad hoc analyses/projects
• Administrative Activities: join performance reviews, training of new team members as well as participate in functional or career development training
• Supports ad hoc requests / projects
• Supports continuous improvement activities
• Assists with training fellow team members
• Participates in training to increase knowledge & skill
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years of Finance and Accounting knowledge or relevant experience required
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• English language skills
