This role reports to the Director of People and Culture and will be responsible for assisting in leading the People and Culture strategy and execution and overseeing the day to day running of the People and Culture function; including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage compliance, training, workers’ compensation and legal matters related to hotel employees.

You will be the Cultural Advocate of the Golden Rule in every employee action in your hotel and responsibilities will include championing top talent and actively supporting succession planning, supporting the hotel as a Business Partner, fostering relationships with others as a coach, supporting and driving Corporate People and Culture initiatives, employee counseling, managing the financials of the budget, conducting regular audits of People and Culture records, organizing and supervising all employee experience programs, actively supporting recruitment, selection, onboarding requirements, evaluating the effectiveness of People and Culture programs and initiatives and analyzing compensation and benefits trends to ensure a balance between cost and employee experience.

Our Ideal Assistant Director of People and Culture candidate will have:

A passion for people, talent management and learning, and will be a Business Partner; strategic, strong business acumen, a catalyst for change and an employee champion.

  • Previous Experience in People & Culture leadership role required, preferably within a hospitality environment
  • Solid experience in Human Resources Leadership and Strategy, Employee Relations and Engagement and Talent Acquisition
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must be fluent in English and French, both verbal and written.
  • Service Passion for Luxury Hospitality
  • Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Workday and Microsoft Office .
