Superintendent, Electrical

Position Summary:

Responsible for coordinating and updating guidelines for electrical and electronic divisions. Coordinates inspections and input to the projects from in-house sources, site offices, architects and other consultants.

Responsibilities related to drawing approval, equipment, systems and related tests to be separately agreed within each project being under newbuilding supervision

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates eventual modification within these areas with in-house architects
  • Support of specification preparation
  • Follow-up and reporting of building progresses
  • Applies relevant rules and regulations in the development of cruise ship design and building, including evaluation of new technology.
  • Participates approval processes for factory acceptance test (FAT) and quay and sea trial procedures.
  • Participates on FAT, inspections and sea and quay trials during building process
  • Follows and applies development in technology of above mentioned areas.
  • Ensures, that all innovations and Lessons Learned from existing fleet will be implemented on future Newbuilding projects and Revitalization projects.
  • Communicates with potential makers and systems designers
  • Communicates with RCL fleet ships when found necessary

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the scope of the project

Key skills & experience required:

  • Fluency in English
  • Computer literate
  • Experience from new building site surveys, especially from the own field of expertise
  • A long shipboard experience with proper technical skills
  • Experience of shipbuilding and design
  • Good skills to read drawings
  • Good skills for communication and co-operation
  • Knowledge of SOLAS and IMO

Qualifications:

minimum 7 years experience from the own field of expertise
