As an Associate, Fixed Income Structuring at Institutional Structuring and Solutions team and will primarily focus on rates solutions, with the opportunity to be exposed to other asset classes such as Credit and Equities. You will be based in Paris and will be directly involved in origination, development and execution of structured rates transactions with the team’s partners across the firm.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with Continental Europe Rates Sales and Rates Trading to develop rates solutions for institutional clients such as insurance companies and pension funds
- Focus on transactions including asset side investment opportunities (e.g. structured notes, SPV repacks), strategic and tactical asset-liability hedging, risk recycling
- Support the entire life cycle of a trade, from its origination to execution, moving along either the entire process or certain parts of it
- Price structured products, prepare bespoke term sheets, conduct analysis for clients and present in external and internal meetings
- Collaborate with sales, trading, global structuring, credit risk, legal, accounting, tax and other internal functions, and build personal and effective partnerships with the key stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Science
- You demonstrate relevant experience in the structured rates solutions space
- You have experience working with structured delivery mechanisms including SPV issuances and repacks
- You have an extensive knowledge in XVA, capital, discounting risk and other pricing components associated with rates products
- You possess strong quantitative and analytical abilities balanced with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- You demonstrate ability to synthesize and present complex concepts to both internal stakeholders and investor types in an appropriate fashion
- You have an exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- You are a strong team player and partner well within the team and with key stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
- Fluency in one or multiple European languages
- Full proficiency in rates derivatives and structured products
- Sound understanding of legal, accounting and regulatory constraints of institutional clients
- Programming skills in addition to high proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel and PowerPoint
