As a DevOps Architect at AWS, you will help our customers develop technical expertise and capacity, while also collaborating with our partners on key engagements. You will deliver implementation projects. These professional services engagements will focus on building key customer solutions to deploy and operate their business-critical applications, taking advantage of the global scale, elasticity, automation, and high-availability features of AWS.
You will collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to enable customers and partners to use AWS services in key market verticals and lead them through organizational and SDLC transformations. Engagements will include migration of existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services. You will build solutions for customers with CloudFormation, API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, SQS, CloudWatch, Kinesis, and others.
This role is a customer-facing role requiring the ability to travel for projects within the FR EMEA South Area. The preferred location for this role is Lyon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Several years of IT implementation experience, with primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3 etc).
• Hands-on experience with building and operating release management systems, and CI/CD workflows.
• Infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code tools (AWS CDK, Cloudformation etc) and Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• Working with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Java etc., to build automation frameworks.
• Excellent French and English communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in a consulting role or similar customer-facing roles.
• Knowledge of IP networking, VPN and firewalls.
• Blogging or writing technical articles or contributing to an open source project for new and existing technologies or application architecture and design.
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks like CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, Opentracing, AWS X-Ray, and APM tools.
• Experience with development and automated testing.
• AWS experience.
