If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) in France.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

As a key member of our SMGS Partner team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping and executing strategies to build mindshare and promote the broad adoption of AWS services across our partner community. Your primary focus will be on owning the technical engagement with strategic system integrators in the French market.

We’re looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

– Deep technical expertise in software architecture and cloud computing
– Strong customer-facing skills, ideally gained within a partner organization
– The ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

This role offers a high level of autonomy and great opportunities to learn and share best practices across countries. You’ll be part of the France and Europe South team, collaborating with colleagues throughout the region.

Key job responsibilities
1. Act as a trusted advisor to our managed system integrators, providing architectural guidance and recommendations for successful partner engagements worldwide.
2. Champion AWS partners and assist solution providers in defining technical strategies to enhance their offerings on AWS .
3. Capture and share best practices with the broader Solution Architect community.
4. Evangelize AWS services and solutions to the wide partner community through various channels, including summits, workshops, and product launches.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure partner success and drive adoption of AWS services.
6. Contribute to the development of technical content, such as whitepapers and reference architectures.
7. Participate in and lead technical discussions with partners and customers, addressing complex inquiries and proposing innovative solutions.

A day in the life
As a Partner Solutions Architect, you’ll engage in a diverse range of activities that showcase your technical expertise and business acumen. On any given day, you might:

– Engage in strategic discussions with partner executives, aligning on cloud adoption strategies and driving them to achieve AWS recognition badges, such as AWS Competencies.
– Apply the “working backwards from the customer” approach to design innovative partner solutions that address customer needs.
– Conduct enablement sessions and hands-on workshops with partners and their customers, upskilling them on the latest AWS innovations and best practices.
– Support a partner’s customer opportunity providing guidance on best practices and addressing complex technical challenges.
– Author technical content and deliver public speaking engagements at AWS, industry or partner events.
– Some travel may be required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– The right person will possess significant hands on implementation or consulting experience and demonstrate a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
– The successful candidate will have spent several years of their career in customer facing roles and a proven record of effective collaborations across multiple internal organizations and interactions with partner and customers.
– Experience working with end user or developer communities and supporting partners and programs.
– Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must. Past experience writing and publishing technical whitepapers desirable.
– BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Maths or Technical background is highly desired
– Fluency in French and English is essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Solid experience in software development, cloud computing, or systems engineering
– Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a consulting or solutions architect capacity
– Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
– Willingness to travel as required (primarily within France and occasionally to other European locations)
